History

Some firms have a reputation for treating members of class action suits as numbers, not clients. Andrew M. Schatz and Jeffrey S. Nobel founded Schatz & Nobel, P.C. in 1995 to be a different kind of class action firm. In keeping with their previous experience in big firms defending securities and corporate lawsuits, Schatz and Nobel embraced the spirit of a client-focused law firm. Just as important, they created a law firm that places a high value on helping people who have been harmed. That culture was enhanced in 2001, when Robert A. Izard, a former partner in a large corporate law firm and the author of Lawyers and Lawsuits, a guide explaining law suits to clients, joined as a partner.

Today, the firm includes attorneys with a broad range of experience in cases involving: Investor Protection, such as stock fraud, mismanagement, excessive compensation and broker policies; Retirement Plans, including losses in health, retirement and 401(k) plans; Consumer Protection, including false advertising, improper fees and charges, defective products and bad service; and Anti-Trust/Unfair Business Practices, including unfair trade and competition, price fixing and monopolization.

Schatz Nobel Izard has successfully litigated and continues to pursue cases against some of the nation’s biggest companies, including Tyco International, AOL Time Warner, Merck, Enron, Campbell Soup, AT&T and others.
